Medina – 1
"A City of Serenity in the Shade of Mercy"
The eyes that gaze upon the Kaaba—the qibla of hearts—turn with longing also toward Medina... For there lies not just a city, but the name of a heart: Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him).
If Mecca is the blazing flame of love, Medina is its gentle touch. There, every stone is a symbol of loyalty; every breeze carries Salutations and Peace to the heavens...
O Medina...
You are the embrace of affection born of migration. You are the table of mercy spread by the Ansar. You are the radiant city where humility blossoms from the soil...
Here, neither the crowds exhaust the soul nor the flow of time burdens the heart. For one who walks your streets is in truth walking toward the past and reaching into the future. Like a rose garden, you seep into the soul; the green dome that speaks in silence fills the eyes with tears.
O heart!
If your path leads to Medina, remove your shoes—first from your heart... Enter not with pride but with surrender. For this is the dwelling of the Beloved, the eternal migration place of the Messenger of Allah...
As you approach the Rawda, your heart trembles, your tongue falls silent... For it is not a grave—it is a fountain of revival. Each salutation becomes a reunion; every tear becomes a purification...
And know this...
To see Medina is a visit,
But to understand it is a state of being.
A state that...
Calls you to migrate from your ego,
Adorns you with the character of Muhammad,
Takes you beyond your self,
And draws you closer to Him.
