Muzdalifah: Love Behind the Silence
Muzdalifah: Love Behind the Silence
Dr. Özer Akpınar – Researcher / Historian
The heart that weeps in Arafat,
Falls silent in Muzdalifah.
Because love begins—
When words are left behind.
And the prostration of love is the night itself...
Here, the stars begin to speak,
The moon descends into your heart.
The earth is silent,
But filled with supplication.
For within every grain,
A hidden prostration lies.
O traveler of the inner path!
You gather stones in this plain,
But every stone you throw
Is cast at an inner idol—
Your pride, your anger, your shadow...
Each is a remnant of your ignorance.
Tonight is the night that burns the self.
You are purified by an invisible fire.
Nothing remains of your ego,
Nor even the ashes of your desires...
Muzdalifah:
Where the heart makes peace with its own shadow,
Where the soul, for the first time,
Says “welcome” to itself.
Lay your heart upon the earth,
For Allah loves the one
Who stays close to the ground.
And tonight,
Is the night closest to Him.
When you rise,
You will not be the same.
Because tonight—
Born from your absence,
Is the purest version of you.
