“The Kaaba of the Heart: Makkah”

Makkah...
The first qibla, where time unravels stitch by stitch,
Where stones speak and earth bows in prostration.
There, no step is a coincidence;
Every footprint carries a prayer, every breeze a remembrance...

Makkah...
It is the land of the surrender of Prophet Adam (A.S.)
And the mercy that gushes forth like Zamzam through the hope of Hajar.
The one running between Safa and Marwa is not just a mother—
It is us, our essence, the first peace we lost that is truly being sought.

Just as the heart revolves within,
So does the human being revolve around the Kaaba—
As if yearning to reach the secret in the heart of the Lord...

With every turn, the self unravels,
The hardness of the ego melts,
And the servant reaches “nothingness” in Makkah.
For it is where the “I” dies and “He” is revived.

Makkah...
It is the oldest prayer upon tongues,
The deepest longing written in the heavens.
There, the sun rises differently, the moon mourns uniquely—
For it is a city shaped by the tears of the orphaned Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).

You do not call upon Makkah—Makkah calls upon you.
You do not long for the stones of the Kaaba—they long for you.
For within each stone lies a secret,
And in every shadow breathes a prophet.

How can I describe Makkah to anyone?
He who does not hear with his heart cannot understand.
He who does not step with his soul cannot feel.
Makkah is not a city;
It is a state, a prostration, a reunion.

O traveler,
If you have not left your heart there,
What use is your going and returning with your body?

True Hajj and Umrah lie in toppling the idols within,
True Tawaf is the heart’s journey toward the Kaaba.
